You might have to flea bomb your house at this point.. the flea shampoo will kill them and then you ned to put on frontline every month!!! But they need to be eliminated on your pet and in your house! How do i get rid of fleas ive tryed everything the spray the shampoo and endless amounts of hours combing?
yeah you are goin to have to flea bomb your house. and the cold does kill them, so if you dont want to pay the money to have it bombed wait it out another month. They will die, but then take measures because they are going to come back with a vengence next year.
You need to understand that fleas' eggs are deposited not on the animal but dropped everywhere in your house. Just ridding the animal of fleas will not solve the problem, you need to address the next generation.

1. Bath then apply Frontline or Advantage to your pet.

2. Thoroughly vacuum your house--including furniture, closets, every nook and cranny.

3. Dispose of the dust bag from the vacuum immediately (it contains flea eggs).

4. Have your home professionally exterminated within 24-48 hours. The products used are more effective than those available to the general public (aka non-certified applicators).

5. If you feel you cannot afford professional extermination. Bomb your residence--be sure to follow all directions including square footage requirements.

A few things to keep in mind:

Flea eggs can lie dormant for extensive periods of time and hatch when conditions are to their advantage.

Pesticides that professionals use contain ingredients that are residual and will render the the eggs in-fertile.

OVC products may not be as effective and treatment may have to be repeated several times to achieve satisfactory results ending in more expense than if an expert where called in initially.

The best of luck. It isn't easy.
The last post is completely right....the two things I would add would be: #1- keep vacuuming the house (after the first ';treatment'; or bomging) at least every other day %26amp; throw the bag away. Then retreat or bomb the house about 14 days later. Most commercial or professional pest companies will give you those directions when they come to treat your house. They will also recommend coming back every other month to treat outside. #2 - Make sure that you are spraying your lawn outside...front %26amp; back.

Also....fleas may die with cold weather but you have to remember that when it is cold you are turning your heat on %26amp; providing the perfect environment for the fleas to come back. Check your local phone book, most areas have ';Do It Yourself'; pest control. What you buy there may be a little more potent than what you can get at your local home improvement store. Good luck!
