What brands would you recomend for horse shampoo, conditoner, spray on conditoner, etc. (for a horse show)?

I am doing a hunter show and I want to know what works best! What brands would you recomend for horse shampoo, conditoner, spray on conditoner, etc. (for a horse show)?
Mane and Tail is probably your cheapest option. Farnam products work great. You can't beat Quicksilver for white (this is what I use on my paints that are mostly white and I constantly have judges asking me how I get my paints so white!). And Pantene is the best conditioner and the scent lasts. Don't use just any human shampoos and conditioners though, horse skin has a different pH then ours and can be irritated by some human soaps. What brands would you recomend for horse shampoo, conditoner, spray on conditoner, etc. (for a horse show)?
Well I just use people shampoo and conditioner, or mane n tail. What ever I have. As for a conditioner spray I use Pepi spray, it works great! (for the mane and tail). I wouldnt use the Pepi spray on the legs because it attracts dust. As for the body I use Absorbine body shine. Thats all I can think of for now.

I use Suave shampoo and conditioner....and then I buy some Infusion or whatever its called which is leave in conditioner and I put it in a spray bottle and I spray their tales and manes.....

i would use mane and tail that is what i use on my barrel racing thourohbred halowin
Mane and Tail. IT gives a beautiful shine!
i would use mane and tail it works great it even smells good!
most places that sell horse stuff sell shampoo for horses [which is low sud and specially formulated for horses]

there are a lot to choose from depending on the colour of your horse..then there is the main and tail conditioner..go easy if you are planing on plaiting
Just go to walmart and get the cheapest shampoo/conditioner you can find in the bath section.
Depends on the color of the horse. If it's not a grey, or paint with a lot of white on it, I like Orvus because it's inexpensive, and takes just a very small amount to make lots of lather. Now, for a grey or anything with lots of white, I love Farnam white'n'brite....with just a touch of Mrs Smith's blueing thrown in. Lather them up well, let them set for about 5-10 minutes, then rinse WELL. If you don't, you'll wind up with a bluish horse. Now, for conditioner, I like the cowboy magic detangler and shine, although if you're wanting to braid, it may make things just a little slick for you to work with. Great stuff though. You work it in, comb through the hair, then after that, until they get dirty again, the comb/brush just glides through. Love that stuff.

I have to do a car wash and we'll be outside for over 5 hours and I want to protect my hair....hat's aren't an option because I don't own one.Is there a shampoo or spray that can protect my hair from up to 5 hours of sun damage?
there's a great little spray called ';Influx'; it's a special hair vitamin %26amp; protection. in my beauty %26amp; supply store i sold it by the cases to hairdressers. they wouldn't even give a client perm until they used in Influx treatment for 2 weeks before the perm. now you can buy it over the counter without going into a beauty %26amp; barber supply. GOOD LUCK!!Is there a shampoo or spray that can protect my hair from up to 5 hours of sun damage?
Your best bet would be use a heat protector like Biosilk... im not sure how that will hold up against the sun. but it works great against flat irons and blowdryers.

How do u give a guinea pig a bath and what type of shampoo do you use at my petstore they have a spray shampoo

at my pet store they have a spray shampoo dose that work and is it true that guinea pigs play together live togetherHow do u give a guinea pig a bath and what type of shampoo do you use at my petstore they have a spray shampoo
We use ';squeaky clean'; as well, as its specifically made for small pets like the piggies. but, piggies do NOT like baths (my current ones are terrified by them, but i've had others that tolerated them more), and rarely require them. guinea pigs are generally very good about grooming themselves, and frequent bathing will irritate their skin.

i would not ever suggest introducing two pigs while being bathed. you should introduce them in a normal, non-stressful environment and see if they will get along (likely if they are females, or a male and a female, but males and males will often fight unless they've been raised together, depends on the particular piggie). How do u give a guinea pig a bath and what type of shampoo do you use at my petstore they have a spray shampoo
You shouldn't give a guinea pig a bath unless for some reason they're dirty.

Put them in a shallow amount of water (lukewarm). Wet the guinea pig. Use the shampoo (I like Squeaky Clean brand for small animals). Make sure to keep the water and shampoo as far away from the face as possible! Rinse off very well, then dry off and keep warm in a towel for a while.

Yes, guinea pigs are herd animals and do best in groups.
Yes, I give my guinea pigs baths, and they actually like them. I use Johnson's Baby Shampoo, and it works great. Put about 2-3 inches of warm water in the bath tub, and slowly put them in there...even let them put their front feet on your hand if they are insucure. Then get all but their face wet and rub in the soap, then rinse them throughly. Just be sure that before you put them back in their cage, you blow dry them so they don't get sick. And yes, guinea pigs love to have companions, they will play, eat, and sleep together. And it is actually recommended that you get more than one guinea pig at a time so they will have a companion(s). I hope this helps.
your pig should never need a bath if treated well. this can be dangerous to the animal.
be gental and u can use normal shampoo. but im no expert visit:

    www.kornage.co.uk/

it has get info on how to bath
Why? Are you trying to introduce two guinea pigs? If you are you should try doing it the normla way first. Get the two guinea pigs and put one on each site of some neutral territory and then let them find each other. Thye will display typicla domainat behaviour like rumble-strutting, teeth-chattering and even mounting. But thats normal. Only seperate them if tehy begin full on figthing. If they do fight they should be seperated and may be able to be reintroduced at a later date.

What your thinking of is a buddy bath these are usually used when two bonded guinea pigs fall out, like during puberty males tend to fight so sometimes people give them, buddy baths. The idea is because bathes are so so terrifyign and scary, the two guinea pigs bond with each otehr through the horror of being bathed.

I've never tried a spray shampoo. And guinea pigs should only be bathed every 3 to 4 months and it dries out their skin. I bath both my boys every three months normally during teh school holidays, I usually trim Spikes coat too because he's an abbyssinnian cross and his fur gets rather long at the back, a couple times its been so long that he's been stepping on it when he walks, so yeha he needs to be trimmed. lol

    I use this shampoo: http://www.bitsforpets.com/images/thumbs鈥?/a>

Shaws rabbit and guinea pig, mine says mild on the bottle.

As for bathing them. Fill a bowl up with warm water, get your guinea pig and support the bottom of his body and thoroughly wet his fur, don;t get watre near his face or eyes. Then squeeze a small amount fo shampoo onto your hand and rub it into his fur. Then spill away the water and get another bowl of warm water, wash the shampoo out and make sure none is left in. Then place your piggie on a towel and gently shy him off. Then groom his fur and apply any flea spray or anything (I use bathing as an opportunity to apply insect sprays and fly repellent specially made for guinea pig as my boys live outdoors), then continue to dry him, you can use a hair dryer, put it on low heat, if its too hot for you, its too hot for yout guinea pig, make sure he's dry before putting him back in his cage, cus you dont; want him to sick.

    Good luck :)

edit. no bathing wont; encourage them to trust each other, in fact it may even have an opposite effect. Guinea pigs absolutely hate baths and it scares teh hell out of them. Your guinea pig may even associate the other guinea pig with the experience of havign a bath and so associate that guine apig with somethign bad and therefore not trust it at all. Your guinea pigs need to get to know each other first, trust will develop over time.

Is it ok to spray water with shampoo to my love birds to maintain healthy feathers?

do they not affect the eyes of the birds? Is it ok to spray water with shampoo to my love birds to maintain healthy feathers?
Never use human soaps or shampoos on your bird.

There are many supplements to help your birds maintain their beautiful plumage. Go to DrsFosterSmith.com . They have about 2 pages of different products to help with this.

Good luck.Is it ok to spray water with shampoo to my love birds to maintain healthy feathers?
NO. Their diet is what created healthy feathers. Birds are sensitive and shampoo contains products that could cause a skin reaction. Birds in the wild do not shampoo. Give them a healthy diet and fresh water. When it is warm in the summer, I take my bird outside in a sunny place and spray out his cage. He loves this, but I do not let him stay in the sun for very long and I would never put products on him.
    Hell NO!

Never put any chemicals on a bird.

    Just use plain water.
ok good seed and a healthy diet makes healthy fethers not shampoo dont use human things on birds....
DO NOT. Birds only need water - shampoo for humans can ruin the birds' feathers, sting its eyes, and damage its skin. Please spray with clean water of normal-temperature only.
simply put out a saucer of water for them to splash in.

It's amazing how some people get this far
NO! Don't ever put any substances on a bird! They can maintain healthy feathers all by themselves. You can spray warm pure water with NOTHING in it to keep the dust down, just use a fine mist and make sure it's warm in your house.
No, you don't want to put chemicals of any kind or your bird unless there are specifically indented for birds and there is a specific need for them. You can spray your birds with plain water which will encourage them to preen and will keep there feathers in good shape as long as they have a good diet and no underlying medical problems.
It's not a good idea to spray anything that will remove the light oil that is on the feathers of all birds. The eyes of the bird will blink alot if it bothers them. Better check with a vet to find a better solution.
Is that a joke no way dont put any chemicals on your bird
    Don'r forget the conditioner!

What is a good shampoo for a hedgehog and what is a good tick removal shampoo or spray?

I have a hedgehog and I would really like to knowWhat is a good shampoo for a hedgehog and what is a good tick removal shampoo or spray?
I use a gentle puppy/kitten shampoo with yucca butter. Most gentle shampoos will work, but avoid any that contain tea tree oil because it can cause reactions in hedgehogs.

None of my hedgehogs have ever had ticks. Many hedgehogs get mites, and for either of these, the most successful removal is typically done by an exotic veterinarian. Revolution (selamectin) is a topical pesticide that is used to treat a mite infestion, while ticks are often pulled out carefully. As long as your hedgehog is indoors most of the time, I don't think that he or she will get any tick problems.

How do i get rid of fleas ive tryed everything the spray the shampoo and endless amounts of hours combing?

please can you give me cheap answer's and do's the cold winter's air kill them i heard that somewhereHow do i get rid of fleas ive tryed everything the spray the shampoo and endless amounts of hours combing?
You might have to flea bomb your house at this point.. the flea shampoo will kill them and then you ned to put on frontline every month!!! But they need to be eliminated on your pet and in your house! How do i get rid of fleas ive tryed everything the spray the shampoo and endless amounts of hours combing?
yeah you are goin to have to flea bomb your house. and the cold does kill them, so if you dont want to pay the money to have it bombed wait it out another month. They will die, but then take measures because they are going to come back with a vengence next year.
You need to understand that fleas' eggs are deposited not on the animal but dropped everywhere in your house. Just ridding the animal of fleas will not solve the problem, you need to address the next generation.

    1. Bath then apply Frontline or Advantage to your pet.

    2. Thoroughly vacuum your house--including furniture, closets, every nook and cranny.

    3. Dispose of the dust bag from the vacuum immediately (it contains flea eggs).

    4. Have your home professionally exterminated within 24-48 hours. The products used are more effective than those available to the general public (aka non-certified applicators).

    5. If you feel you cannot afford professional extermination. Bomb your residence--be sure to follow all directions including square footage requirements.

A few things to keep in mind:

Flea eggs can lie dormant for extensive periods of time and hatch when conditions are to their advantage.

Pesticides that professionals use contain ingredients that are residual and will render the the eggs in-fertile.

OVC products may not be as effective and treatment may have to be repeated several times to achieve satisfactory results ending in more expense than if an expert where called in initially.

The best of luck. It isn't easy.
The last post is completely right....the two things I would add would be: #1- keep vacuuming the house (after the first ';treatment'; or bomging) at least every other day %26amp; throw the bag away. Then retreat or bomb the house about 14 days later. Most commercial or professional pest companies will give you those directions when they come to treat your house. They will also recommend coming back every other month to treat outside. #2 - Make sure that you are spraying your lawn outside...front %26amp; back.

Also....fleas may die with cold weather but you have to remember that when it is cold you are turning your heat on %26amp; providing the perfect environment for the fleas to come back. Check your local phone book, most areas have ';Do It Yourself'; pest control. What you buy there may be a little more potent than what you can get at your local home improvement store. Good luck!

Do volumizing hair products such as shampoo, spray really work? How?

Most ';Volumizing'; Products Just Remove Excess Oil And Leave Little Or No Residue- Making The Hair Look And Feel Fuller. Some Products Cause The Individual Hairs To Swell-Up Giving The Hair More Thickness. Some ';Coat'; The Hairs And Make Them Thicker And ';Stiffer';. However, The Best Products Use A Combination Of Actions To Thicken The Hair. If You Want A Lot Of Thickness, Use A Good Volume Shampoo, Follow With A Thickening Conditioner Or Treatment Then Use A ';Thickening/Volumizing'; Styler And Finish With A Good Hairspray/Finishing Spray. (P.S. Try Combining Products From Different Companies: Check The Label For The Manufacturer. Example: Aussie And Herbal Essences Are Both Made By P%26amp;G, So They Are Pretty Much the Same Products, Just Different Packages And Fragrances.)Do volumizing hair products such as shampoo, spray really work? How?
im not sure how but im pretty sure shampooing its going into ur scalp and volumising it.. and yes they do work if u get a good kindDo volumizing hair products such as shampoo, spray really work? How?
Somewhat. They are suppoed to fatten the hair shaft. If you put rollers in your hair with setting lotion, your hair will have more volume and body guaranteed.

What shampoo or spray is best to add volume to my hair?

At the moment I use charles worthington results for shampoo and conditioner, a volume boosting spray by nicky clarke for blow drying and shockwaves volume boosting hairspray, it works well but using all these products mean I get a lot of build up, is there any single product I could use that would give me the same effect? What shampoo or spray is best to add volume to my hair?
Try Kanebo XD Shampoo, it's a bit expensive, but it's really great. It also helps against hair-loss, so you will get thicker hair after a while. It's the only shampoo that I use.

A conditioner makes the hair more ';heavy'; and if you use a good shampoo, a conditioner is unnecessary. What shampoo or spray is best to add volume to my hair?
I don't think any product works as well as just blow drying your hair with a round brush focusing a lot of heat on the root and maybe back-combing. Maybe then you would only have to use either your shampoo or perhaps the hairspray- I haven't used this exact product but I've had good results from other shockwaves products.

Hope this helped a bit xx
generally spray tends more to put hair down, because they are much heavier this way!

I would advise you a good shampoo

  • Spray, Shampoo, or gel that will make Black/African American hair curly?

I've got long African American hair that has a straight perm in it. It's time for something new. I want a quick way to get my straight hair curly.Nothing that will weigh it down though. Like spray or gel, what not. Shampoo or even your own techs to help make it stay curly...Quick and cheap. Help?Spray, Shampoo, or gel that will make Black/African American hair curly?
You could wash it and let it dry naturally and see if that works of course, you want to have some moisturizer to it all so, other than that, curling it , but there is no quick way that I have heard to get your hair curyly for African American hair. I am African American, and I have long hair also and I feel like you feel, doing something different with my hair. I have yet to try something different.Spray, Shampoo, or gel that will make Black/African American hair curly?
I agree with Jk. When you wash your hair, roller set it when your hair is extremely wet. You can use lottabody setting lotion (sally beauty supply) and then put the curlers/rods in (whatever you prefer) and sit under a hooded dryer to let dry or air dry.
Since your hair is relaxed, all that you can do is wet set your hair on perm rods. Make sure that you wrap the rods with tissue, so you don't damage your hair.

What is a good brand of flea and tick spray or shampoo?

I cant get rid of fleas from my dog.I have tried bathing him and spraying him. What is a good brand of flea and tick spray or shampoo?
Get a topical spot treatment from your veterinarian, you use them once a month, and they have the best treatment results. Get one of the following:

    Advantix,

    Advantage,

or Frontline (my least favorite). What is a good brand of flea and tick spray or shampoo?
Over the counter medications do not generally work but I tried the Hartz ultraguard Pro and it worked like a charm. Bathe with a flea shampoo and shen dry use the medication. The only problem with it is that it is water soluable and you cannot bathe or take your dog swimming or let it get in the rain. I switched to a procuct from the vet. It is your best option. They usually won't charge you for an office visit either. I hope this is helpful.
Only thing that completely works is a monthly topical liquid like Frontline Plus or Advantix --- the rest just gets rid of a few adult fleas, the larvae and eggs hatch and your dog has fleas again.

Sprays and baths, collars, dips, etc. can be very harmful to your dog - the chemicals are harsh.

Dawn dishliquid is horrible, causes burns of the throat and eyes - and, again, doesn't work except on a few adult fleas - I wish people would stop coming up with that old wives tale clunker.

Cheap Harz products have been known to poison dogs --- do NOT use them.

Be sure to put Frontline Plus or Advantix on your dog every single month - no more fleas or ticks.

If he is really infested, first take him to the vet, get a pill called ';Capstar';, that gets rid of all fleas within an hour, then bathe him to get the dead fleas off --- then apply Advantix or Frontline Plus --- no more fleas or ticks for a full month - worth the price, believe me.
Go to your local vet and ask for a pill called ';Capstar'; (nitenpyram) They sell for about $5.00 each but they will make the fleas drop dead withing 30 minutes. Then go through the hair with a fine toothed come to get out all the flea dirt. (little black spots that look like dirt) Then you have to keep your pet away from all the fleas. Or you will end up having to do it again.
The best thing I've found is to bath your pet in the Dawn dish washing liquid, this will kill all fleas and is used by wildlife rescue.I would also suggest sprinkling the 5 % Sevin dust on your entire lawn to kill all the fleas. This can also be used on the pet to kill fleas and ticks.Just make sure it is the 5 % Sevin dust.
First put Frontline on him to get rid of the flees that he has. Then call your vet and ask them to recommend a product. You may have to bomb your house to kill the flees he brought into the house,. You can buy the spray at a Pet Store or Walmart. You have to leave your house for 8 hours when you use that. Your pet can't be in there either.
What i use for my dog is ADAMS flea %26amp; tick shampoo and spray. It work really good if you bath your dog in the shampoo and spray him for about three days straight or until fleas come off. When i first used it on my Shitz tzu after giving a bath i'd brushed him with his spiky brush and can se all of the fleas coming off of him. Now today i wash him with it once a week and he's haven't had a single flea sense.

Is spray shampoo good for someone who straightens there hair but doesnt wanna wash it?

will it mess up my hair?Is spray shampoo good for someone who straightens there hair but doesnt wanna wash it?
All that those really do is spray powder onto your hair to absorb the oils. It will only cause you to have a build up. The best way to refresh your hair really is to spray the roots with hair spray, get them really good, then comb/brush it out when it dries. This will keep your hair full looking without adding that powdery build up. I hope this helps!! Good Luck!Is spray shampoo good for someone who straightens there hair but doesnt wanna wash it?
Its better to use a conditioning spray not shampoo.
Those are just meant as refreshers, not to be used in place of shampooing.
y cant u just wash ur hair??????????
spray shampoo isn't a good idea. it's not really washing your hair. it is just sucking up the oils. you need to wash your hair at least every other day. you can even straighten some at night and some in the morning if you are too tired/lazy to do it all at one time.

I was especially wondering about the Bio Basics Suave as it is supposed to be like Biolage. I now have a very limited income so if these products are decent it could save me some money. Could you descibe how the shampoo and conditioner made your hair feel? Thanks!Suave Professionals Shampoos?
i'm not exactly sure what they make your hair feel like, but as a professional stylist, who only recommends professional products, i will say that Suave is one of the best over-the-counter products available. yes, its cheap, but cheap doesn't always mean bad. i've never used it (because i have easy access and discounts to professional products), but i can tell you based on the chemicals make-up and Ph levels in Suave, it's definetly not BAD for your hair, it wont leave it feeling dry, and it wont cause a build-up (a lot of over the counter products do all three). you should try it! whats the worst that could happen? you dont like it, and wasted $3 on a bottle of shampoo??Suave Professionals Shampoos?
I love some of the Professionals but hate others. It is really a personal choice. I think the Basics and the paul mitchell I liked but the nexium I hated.
mhm i love it its actually theEXACTLy the same thing *** biolage. they copy the ingrediants but its wayy more cheaper.

it made my hair fell really soft and shiny
I use the straight and sleek suave professionals. I love it. It's actually my favorite. It reallys helps to control my waves and frizz. My hair never feels weighed down with long term use. But I should say that I alternate my shampoos daily or every other day.
The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome!!! They have different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Kroger, Albertsons, Duane Reade, Safeway, etc. Its the best! You'll love it!

I have used all types of Suave products for years and years from shampoos to hair sprays, etc and love them as well as the expensive brands - give it a try and I am sure you will be pleased.

    Hair professionals only please....Shampoo question?

HI... I'm a guy, and am thinning in front a bit, when shampoo has too much body, it actually makes me look more bald (not less as onemight think) ... what I want is advice on the best NON salon shampoo that is good, or ... what you would suggest if you HAD to only use store bought shampoos (i'm broke) ...I do realize salon shampoos are best (even though hair is dead right? (i've read some articles that say saln shampoos are over rated, but others that said thats wrong .. ok thanksHair professionals only please....Shampoo question?
hey-you asked for professionals to answer this question and then you try and make us go against everything we have learned and stand for? shame on the hairstylists that even know about grocery store products. lol here's the deal-these shampoo's are terrible, and have such waxy clogging harsh sulfates in them. Paul Mitchell has a shampoo called tea tree shampoo, and it may be a few dollars more than some crap...I think it's like $7 or $8 for a small bottle-I know some store brands are that high. But I had a class once that talked strictly about male hair care and how the overworking hormones clog hair follicles-etc. the tea tree shampoo has bactericidal and fungicidal agents in it and it will help to unclog any backed up follicles. Nothing is a miracle and will make all your hair grow back-it will prevent further damage though...oh and it's minty fresh and tingly too : )

***DO NOT buy this product if you see it in the grocery store-the company is trying so hard to stop these people from selling their products. they are stolen off a truck, damaged, and or tampered with (not to mention usually super old, and not even in the new packaging) there is a reason the package says ';garuanteed only when sold by a professional'; even your local supercuts or JCPenney salon will carry this

--THIS IS NOT A HAIRLOSS SHAMPOO DON'T WORRY : )

my fiance with his full head of thick hair uses it, and I use it once a week to get the hair product build up out of my hair-ooh, even my gramma uses it I forget about that heheHair professionals only please....Shampoo question?
i have no idea on store bought hair loss treatments, but when you can afford it, you should try nioxin. remember to try something for at least 6 mnths to see results.
Professional shampoos are better. In school we analyzed the different ingredients of drug store and professional products. The cheaper ones are much more watered down, and some of the ingredients are down right scary. You can actually use less of the prof. product since they are more concentrated. That being said, if you are truly thinning, you might have better luck with Rogaine. Walmart even makes a generic formula, which is about 1/3 the cost of regular Rogaine.

    Shampoo Question (Professionals only)?

I have very thin, frizzy, light brown, shoulder length hair. I want to change my shampoo to something for my hair type that will add shine and keep the frizz + fly-aways under control. I've heard that Organix and Tresemee are pretty good; are they? I'm a little low on cash right now, so I can't afford anything over $6. Thanks :DShampoo Question (Professionals only)?
tresemee is good.!Shampoo Question (Professionals only)?
    tresemee and pantene are greatt!!
buy shampoo at family dollars such as herbal essences makes it smell better+is $3 dollars. and you can add its hairspray to.

or better yet you can buy Sebastian portion9 lite $16

and gel for the frizzy hair or the anti-frizz hair but its $25 you better start

savings.granier fructis i love this one and everything else.
yeah, i recommend for you to use Treseme its really good for frizzy and it also adds shine to your hair.

but also you can use 'biosilk hair therapy oil' besides shampoo, for your hair it controls frizz and adds a beautiful shine to your hair. i use it and i love it.
Charles Worthinton and John Frieda, they make shampoos and conditioners that are really good, and a cheap price.

Also get some straightening balm to stop flyaways.

I was using pureology, but my hair gets oily, and breaks easier, because I need more moisture. Still my hairs been less frizzy. Anyway I want to switch up what I'm using, but I don't know what to use?

Tressime, Paul Mitcheal, Herbal Essances, Rusk, Dove--WHAT?

i like Dream Hair by Charles Worthington of London. My hair is very dry and coarse and this makes it shiny and gives it body.

    Beauty professionals- What brand shampoo/conditioner do you recommend? I have straight hair-basically ';normal';

    Please don't say pantene pro vBeauty professionals- What brand shampoo/conditioner do you recommend? I have straight hair-basically ';normal';
    I agree that pantene sucks!!!! Go to a Redken salon and ask someone there. I can't say exactly which one is best for you without knowing your hair. You could use one with some moisture if your hair is a little on the dry side or one with protein if you get highlights or possibly one with color protector in it if you get color. There is a Redken shampoo and product for every type of hair. REDKEN all the way!!!Beauty professionals- What brand shampoo/conditioner do you recommend? I have straight hair-basically ';normal';
well in my opinion pantene pro v is the best.. but also aussie is really good

Question about Professional Salon Shampoos/Conditioners!???EASY 10 points!!!?

i dont think i was clear on my other question. my question is,

if i buy a salon professional hair brand shampoo (bumble%26amp;bumble,biosilk,matrix biolage, all that expensive stuff etc..) at a drugstore(CVS,walgreens,etc..) is it the same quality? some people say yes, some say its not the same as if you buy it at a salon. what do you think??Question about Professional Salon Shampoos/Conditioners!???EASY 10 points!!!?
Are you referring to the generic or imitation? Or the ones that look like the real thing? They are probably just as good and exactly the same as the ones sold in a salon, but be aware that the retailer may have obtained them illegally. The brands (such as Matrix, Paul Mitchell, etc.) will only sell their products to a salon. And if sold at at a grocery store or drug store, they may be very old. Those retailers charge just as much, if not more than what a salon charges. And the first poster is right, they are not guaranteed unless sold by a professional.Question about Professional Salon Shampoos/Conditioners!???EASY 10 points!!!?
I go to a Bumble and Bumble salon and I asked my stylist this same question. Her answer was... It is bumble and bumble. They are not supposed to have it and it may be old which then makes the ingredience not work as well.. It is also more expensive because it had to pass through more people to get there. The bumble and bumble I have seen at the store is on average 6-7 dollars more than my salon and it's not the same freshness. They use all natural ingredience and so that's a big deal.
the problem with the ones at the drugstores is...they might be counterfeit. they look the same, but the product inside is not what it should be. if you buy from the salon, you know it came from the real manufacturer.
It may be the same quality, but it is only guaranteed at a salon. Well, good luck! =P

Which shampoo to go for?? Matrix Biolage or Loreal Professional?

I have tried Professional and its pretty expensive but works well.

Biolage is like a lot cheaper and I have heard it works...

Loreal Elvive is cheaper but proved to be useless! :(

Anyone used both??? Which one should I go for???Which shampoo to go for?? Matrix Biolage or Loreal Professional?
I had dry frizzy naturally curly (and thinning) hair. I had used everything and experimented with alot of very expensive shampoos, conditioners, mousses, etc. Then I bought Sunsilk Hydra TLC Shampoo and now I won't use anything else except maybe a clarifying shampoo about once every 6 weeks. For just the few bucks that Sunsilk costs, you definitely should give it a try. My hair went from dry and frizzy to beautiful in just one washing and I don't even need to use a conditioner.

My routine: I wash with Sunsilk, spray afterwards with TreSemme Body Root Boosting Spray, blow dry my bangs and roots, and then scrunch the sides and back with Fat Samy's Amplifying Mousse and then end with lightly spraying with Rave hairspray - and then my hair is good to go all day long and looks fantastic and shiny thanks to starting with Sunsilk Shampoo!Which shampoo to go for?? Matrix Biolage or Loreal Professional?
Loreal Professional deff. i have used both and have had MUCH better results with Loreal Professional
You don't say the purpose you're using it for. Is your hair coloured? Dry and damaged? Oily? Limp? Curly? Straight?
I have tried both and you should go with Biolage it works the best for all kinds of hair-types ; I hope this helps :)

Professional Cosmetologist Question: Best shampoo for scalp psoriasis?

I have a cosmetology license, but currently do not work in a salon. I have a relative who suffers from scalp psoriasis which causes flaking and dandruff but does not see a doctor for it. What are some bad professional shampoos that you wouldn't recommend buying?

I have straight some what thin blond hair. I was wondering if there were any shampoos that don't do what they say they do and make your hair feel bad and look bad? I was asking because I want my moneys worth if I were to ever want to buy a different brand of shampoo/conditioner.

I'm using Halo shampoo also I just bought it and it seems to create the same affect as Redkik volume shampoo- but its a nice change.

Any ideas or personal experiences? What are some bad professional shampoos that you wouldn't recommend buying?
My worst experience was with ';Herbal Essences';, my hair felt disgusting - no other shampoo and conditioner has ever made my hair feel disgusting, just this product.

I am always surprised by those who sing this brand's praises. I guess it just didn't work for me, which I found odd because every other brand has worked for me.

    - Pepper. What are some bad professional shampoos that you wouldn't recommend buying?
i really dont know? maybe bedhead bc ive had an experience with that myself. im also a fellow hair stylist... have you ever tried joico? it is an amazing brand that every shampoo n conditioner is aimed towards making the hair healthier and stronger! i absolutely love it and recommend it to almost every client that sits in my chair. oh and they also all can retain the color in your hair!! isnt that fabulous?! since my hair is soooo dry, i use the moisture and i DONT have to worry bout it fading my beautiful red shade bc it helps with that too!!!
I have longish, fine, thin blonde hair. The Bedhead brand is my least favorite. It made my hair hard to comb through. I LOVE Blue Malva Aveda, and Matrix Biolage. It's always good to switch brand every now and then also. It will pump up the volume and pretty much guarantee good hair days.
I have had bad experiences with the following: V05, White Rain, Suave...

Remember, you get what you pay for. You should always invest in a good shampoo and condition especially.

Professional Shampoos- can you get them without getting you hair cut?

Kay, so my hair's falling out, and I blame my shampoo. I use Herbal Essences. Last week on Monday I switched to Silkience until Saturday, just for a change, to prevent buildup and stuff.

I went back to Herbal Essences this Monday and ever since, my hair's been falling out. If I run my fingers through it once, like 10 hairs come out with it. I'm constantly finding them all over my clothing and around me on the floor. And today I was wearing a black shirt, and it was so noticeable! I decided that was enough.

So I am going to go for Salon quality shampoo, just to see if that makes a difference. I'm willing to spend a bit extra, so no worries about that. My hair's normally so soft and shiny, but now it's flat and dull. So I'm gonna find a near salon and buy shampoo. Can you recommend a good brand? (Available in the US) Can I get one without getting my hair cut or will they think I'm weird?Professional Shampoos- can you get them without getting you hair cut?
You can definitely go to the salon and but some. It's not weird at all. You might, however, want to find a ';Beauty 101'; or something. They are discount stores that carry the salon brands. I don't have a recommendation, but the people at the store are usually knowledgeable of their products.Professional Shampoos- can you get them without getting you hair cut?
everyone has hair falling out/replacing daily. if you have long hair you might notice it more. i've never heard of a shamoo casin hair ro fall out...cheaper stuff may have more detergent causing dryness.

its possible you have some sort of medical condition such as thyroid. see a doctor soon to be sure.
i dont know any good brands but you can certainly get the shampoo at a salon without getting your hair cut

    Suave professionals shampoo?

    is it any good?

suave claims it works as well as biolage which is hard to believe for the price.

    http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d鈥?/a>Suave professionals shampoo?
I used this and it's worth the price but it made my hair look really crappy! If your looking for a good shampoo line go for ';Herbal Essence'; it works really well also you can look it up online because they have a lot of different shampoos and conditioners so you can pick the one for you!Suave professionals shampoo?
i wouldn't recommend suave because the ph is bad. I threw it out instantly, it makes your hair really dry. If you must use it use a really deepconditioner in your hair afterwords.
My sister uses that shampoo and it works really good

    U should try it :D ~

Why is it bad to use two types of shampoo in the shower? (Professionals ONLY Please) ???

    I'm sure its fine...

ba4baWhy is it bad to use two types of shampoo in the shower? (Professionals ONLY Please) ???
If you mean a shampoo and a conditioner of different brands, it's because different companies or brands formulate their shampoo and conditioners differently. Shampoo takes the oil out of your hair, how much depends on the brand, conditioner puts a certain amount of healthy oil back into your hair.

If you have a shampoo that is meant for drier hair and condition that is meant for more oily hair, the shampoo won't take as much oil out as a different company might because it is made for drier hair. The conditioner will put a lot of oils in your hair because it is meant for dry hair that needs natural oils, resulting in dry, brittle hair.

Companies make there shampoo and conditioner coordinate so they take the right amount of oil out and put back in the right amount of oil in your hair

If you have 'dry, frizzy hair,' try doing co-washes (conditioner wash) more often instead of using a shampoo at every wash, since shampoos tend to strip the hair even further. (You can use any cheap brand for that)

You might also look for a shampoo, (when you do use it) that doesn't contain sodium laureth sulfate--that ingredient is extremely drying to hair. Loreal has some on the market now as does Organix, which is a cheaper line.
    Loreal Professional

Have any professional cosmetologists ever heard of a 'french shampoo'?

I want to remove my rich auburn color and possibly go lighter (level 7 or 8). My natural color is a dark brown with golden blond highlights, maybe a level 2. I had a 'french shampoo' done at an Aveda salon when I had a black/chocolate cherry color removed in the past. Is this the best way to remove color? Is it safest for my hair? Also, is 'french shampoo' a name that only Aveda uses, since no one seems to know anything about it? Help?!:)Have any professional cosmetologists ever heard of a 'french shampoo'?
I have never heard of a french shampoo, but it probably involves shampooing a lightener and a low volume developer into your hair. If you liked the results you can go back to that salon and have it done again, but I doubt it will get you up to a level 7 or 8. Going more than 4 levels lighter requires a lot of patience and more than one process, especially if you want to maintain the health of your hair.Have any professional cosmetologists ever heard of a 'french shampoo'?
I think I just had this done to correct color I did myself. It was called a shampoo cap, and was a mix of shampoo and peroxide (not equal parts, but I don't know the exact ratio). It certainly did a good job lifting the color, but I now have blondish-yellow hair instead of my natural brown. I can't say for certain that this is the same as a french shampoo.
I'm almost positive they did a ';shampoo cap'; on you. It's a salon formula that will gently lighten the hair. It is safe for them to do on you, but it must be watched very closely. When it is done, the lighter color you want will need to be applied, as the shampoo cap usually doesn't leave the hair the perfect color, it just lightens what you have.

Also, I've been in the beauty industry for a long time, and I've never heard of french shampoo...
I used to work in an Aveda salon %26amp; have never heard of a French Shampoo... most likely just a special name they made up... any color removal involves a lightening product (peroxide, bleach, etc) ...but you will almost ALWAYS have to re-color it afterwards to get the exact color you desire ...any color removal add damage to your hair, also, so be sure to pick a shade you will want to stick with for a while before you color it!

Question about shampoo's, conditioners, and styling products. professional answers please?

Ok, so there is so much going around about good and bad shampoo's and i wanted to get real answers. First of all, if alcohol is so bad for your hair and dries it out, why is there cetyl and stearyl alcohol in almost every product? if they are tryign to moisturize the hair, why in the world would you put it in your product? I was recently told that the A/G brand is so much better for your hair because it has no alchol but i looked on the ingredients and it has both of those.

secondly, they say there is silicone in pantene pro V, and all i could find was an ingredient called ';Dimethicone';. Now, ive been useing a salon brand called Lanza, which has 'silicone' in it. my hair feels good after this, unlike after useing pantene pro V.is silicone really bad for your hair?or does it depend on the type?

lastly, sulfate is harsh for your hair, but do sulfate free formulas cleanse well enough?Question about shampoo's, conditioners, and styling products. professional answers please?
The alcohols that you mentioned are used to thicken the shampoo and give it its consistancy. Professional products are going to be better. If you can't afford professional I would try L'OReal products they make them professional and for the public. The shampoos that you cleanse with are made to strip excess oils from your hair and it is a good idea to always follow with a good conditioner after cleansing.Question about shampoo's, conditioners, and styling products. professional answers please?
The alcohol that you are referring to is a food grade to help preserve products. Otherwise they have a very short shelf life and can spoil. Some products don't have any in them or not as much. The closer the word alcohol is to the front of the list of ingredients the more there is in there. A G is a good brand. So is Phytologie. A natural French line. Your second question, silicone is not bad for your hair. It can coat the hair making it feel silky and easier to come out. There are different grades, qualities of these products. Like Hershey chocolate and Godiva. Both are chocolate but they don't taste the same and don't cost the same. Unless you are only shampooing a few times a week and really having a dirty scalp and a lot of product on the hair- you only need to gently clean your hair and scalp. So many people over shampoo.

Which professional brand has the best shampoos and conditioners?

Which brand should I choose? Kerastase, L'oreal, Wella, Sebastian... or some otherWhich professional brand has the best shampoos and conditioners?
Personally, I like Matrix. There are several different lines of this brand, such as volumizing, moisturizing, anit-frizz, and for color-treated hair. Biolage also works really well.Which professional brand has the best shampoos and conditioners?
    I myself use Kerastase.

If it's in the contract, then yes. If it isn't in the contract, you are allowed to subject the house to ';normal wear and tear.'; This is a subjective interpretation, and can be contested in small claims. It will be up to you as the tenant to sue the landlord, as the landlord is holding your money, and will determine how much you initially get back. Note that in CA, your landlord must pay you 5% interest on your security and cleaning deposits, so you may be owed some money.

No, but the apartment should be clean. Usually, the common sense thing to do is to clean the carpets and repaint.
The standard is that the property needs to be in the same condition as when it was let, normal wear and tear excepted. Assuming that you vacuum regularly and there are not obvious stains on it you would not need to have it professionaly cleaned.

Over time, carpeting does wear and discolor somewhat. How much would be normal wear and tear will depend upon how long you have lived there. On a six month lease, that won't be very much. But if you've lived there for 10 years, the carpeting may be pretty much worn out and would not be your responsibility.

While ';normal wear and tear'; is a somewhat subjective assessment, most reasonable people know it when they see it, and reasonable landlords and tenants usually can come to a quick agreement on this and most other items on the move-out inspection.

I used to be a landlord and seldom had an issue on this. I normally didn't allow pets but when I did, the lease required the tenant to provide proof of professional cleaning and flea treatment at move-out or they surrendered one-half of the pet deposit.
No, but if you smoked in said apartment you might be eligible for the death penalty.
Read your rental agreement it should tell you. Done believe it has to be done by a pro but must be clean and in the same shape as when you moved in if you want your deposit back..I think you can rent a mech and do it?? Rob
No you don't, regardless of your contract. I won'tbother cleaningthe place either, they're just going to hire cleaners and deduct it from your deposit. Have a walk through with your landlord before giving him the keys to see what damage and/or dirt goes beyond the scope of wear and tear. Take pictures as well.

    Regards
no.. i believe u will be charged for cleaning anyway.

Usually the rentals properties have some rules for carpets. for example they change them every 6 years. If say u have used it for 6 years a good owner would not chanrge u anything. U can ask the rental properties management or owners before u move.
Only if they need to be. If they are in the EXACT same condition as when you moved in then you don't need to, but if they are dirty then clean them. I think it's only like $80.00 bucks for a whole apartment.
there is a statement in most rental agreements that ...if there is normal wear and tear, you do not have to fix it...now, how long did you live there?? And do YOU think you should fix the problem?? That's what a judge will ask you!!

Professional Cosmetologist Question: Best shampoo for scalp psoriasis?

I have a cosmetology license, but currently do not work in a salon. I have a relative who suffers from scalp psoriasis which causes flaking and dandruff but does not see a doctor for it. I would like to buy some good shampoo for her, but have no idea which brand works the best. She asks me to trim her hair, so I see this condition and would like to help her. She also has psoriasis on her neck. I think she should get a prescription from a doctor but she isn't doing that for some reason. Any professional products in the salon supply stores I could buy for her?Professional Cosmetologist Question: Best shampoo for scalp psoriasis?

Do you know of a professional-quality hair product that ';de-poofs'; hair? Shampoo, Conditioner, Styling product

I just tried SunSilk's de-poof products and I really like what they do for my hair, but in my experience, drug-store brand hair products usually quit working after awhile, either because of buildup or unhealthy ingredients such as alcohol. Thanks for your help!Do you know of a professional-quality hair product that ';de-poofs'; hair? Shampoo, Conditioner, Styling product
Using a smoothing product, and a silicone serum on tips will help, BUT...

What you can do to depoof, no special products needed, is 2 things:

1.When you wash hair, only wash the roots/scalp. It take a while for natural oils to make its way down the hair shaft. give it a chance to do so, and your hair will naturally ';de-poof'; . Wash the whole head 1x/week.

    2. Use a moisturizing conditioner, one that says ';for damaged hair'; this means it's rich and will weigh hair down a little. I recommend biolage conditioning balm. it comes in a tub. it's amazing.

Use a clarifying shampoo 1-2 x/ month if you follow this routine.

My mother is a professional stylist, does fashion shows, photo shoots. This is what she tells her clients. My hair isn't very poofy, and even I do this just because it makes your hair glossy and pretty.Do you know of a professional-quality hair product that ';de-poofs'; hair? Shampoo, Conditioner, Styling product
    Redken smooth down
Redken Smooth Down shampoo and Conditioner - they have tamed my naturally curly/frizzy hair very well for the last year.

Redken also has a few different taming stlying products, but on an average day I don't need them because the shampoo and conditioner do the job on their own. Caveat: It will take a few weeks of using them to notice a real difference, and you may want to have a professional deep conditioning treatment to restructure your hair if it is extremely dry.
Frutice. It works all their products are great I had a poofy problem and I use the milk for my hair every other day and it works!!!!
try ......paul mitchell product line or kiehls ,nyc
I use Aussie mousse. my hair is naturally really curly but its extremely poofy. i would also try John Frieda's anit-frizz serum. it works well too. a leave in conditioner might help but im not positive on that.
Try Jolin products, or I.C.E Motion products, or Sebastian products, and products from salons usually work better than drug-store brand products.

i highly reccomend isoplus neutralizing shampoo and mane and tail conditoner becuz it keeps your hair shiny full of luster keeps it clean and full of body and bounce
You do not need to use professional shampoo/conditioner for optimal results. Use Infusium 23, I have had TONS of PROFESSIONAL hair stylist tell me that its some of the best stuff you can get!
I definitely reccomend Biolage, However if you are a proffesional stylist shouldnt you know the answer to this question and make an educated decision????????
    Pureology or ABBA.
I like biolage. That is what my stylist recommended to me. It makes my hair really really soft. I love it!

Hair professionals: What shampoo would you reccomend?

I have highlighted light blonde (originally sandy blonde) hair. It's about down to my chest, and it's really wavy. Usually a little frizzy. It's not that thick, but it'snot that thin either...Hair professionals: What shampoo would you reccomend?
Purology Hydration (purple bottle) shamp and cond

It so to hair as mac is to make-up

Just the best, nothing else comes close in quality or performance. Plus its vegan friendly. And sulfite free which means color fading is kept to the barest minimum. Its not cheap but so concentrated that it last forever. I have yet to find a head of hair that requires more then a quarter sized ammount.Hair professionals: What shampoo would you reccomend?
Hi, Cause you have highlights and your hair is light blonde I would use Shimmer Lights shampoo and conditioner is by Clairol for highlighted and light blonde tinted hair this is some great product this will keep those highlights looking like you just got them done. You can get this product at Sally's Beauty supply stores.
In all honesty, i have tried many salon shampoos, and i have actually become happy with a supermarket shampoo. Garnier Fructas is great, i use the 1 minute treatment for conditioner. I find it very very moisturising. But if you are set on getting a salon shampoo, KMS is fantastic, also MOP is great too (also organic, so a little more expensive).
obviously a color care shampoo.... your going to get a diffrent answer depending on which professional you ask and what product line they use... i went to paul mitchell the school so i would reccomend paul mitchel color protect.. for frizz i would reccomend paul mitchell gloss drops or super skinny serum..

purology used to be good (made in small amounts... using prime ingrredients) but they sold out to l'oreal.. so i dont really trust it any more...

ive also enjoyed a products by colure.. kind of expensive but well worth it.. sulphite free..
    I would reccomend S-factor.

blonde glam by redkin!!! and anything in the blonde glam line. its for highlighted blonde hair.
Pureology is the way to go for color treated hair. Try the more hydrating kind for your frizziness.

Self carpet shampooing verses Professional or rug doctor?

I need to shampoo my carpets but I want the best results possible. I know that the rug doctor is a commercial rug shampooer but do you think it has the same results as a professional coming in to clean them or would I get the same reults doing it myself?Self carpet shampooing verses Professional or rug doctor?
If you rent the rug doctor from the grocery store be prepared for it to be slightly heavy, and it will leave your carpets really wet. Mine did at least. There are some good products in the stores but check this site out and get a carpet cleaner from here:

    http://www.findanyfloor.com/OnlineFloorS鈥?/a>

It has the best, top qulity, brand name products at a great price. If you clean your carpets often I would recommend buying a cleaner. But if you don't a little mom and pop vacuum shop sometimes will rent out better machines.Self carpet shampooing verses Professional or rug doctor?
I purchased a Bissell steam cleaner a few years ago. It works extremely well. I only use Resolve rug cleaner in it even though the directions say to only use Bissell products. I've used the rug doctor in the past and my cleaner works at least as well.

Why is it that once I started using professional shampoos that my hair started getting so much healthier?

Because it's better! Most commercial shampoos like Pantene, etc. are full of detergents and waxes. They make your hair LOOK healthy (notice that's what the ads say, too, ';healty looking hair';) but if you use them over time, they just rob and coat your hair. Better products have better ingredients, and that is why your hair looks better. They are worth the money. Try shopping on salonsavings.com to see if they have your stuff--it tends to have really good prices. Why is it that once I started using professional shampoos that my hair started getting so much healthier?
Most shampoos that you find at drug stores and dept stores. e.g. suave, pantene pro v, etc. They are mainly made of water. When you read the ingredents on the back of a bottle, the items listed first are the main ingredients and it goes in decending order to the least amount used. This applies for everything including food. When it comes to hair products professional is the best. Why is it that once I started using professional shampoos that my hair started getting so much healthier?
..the ph level in a shampoo is so important to the hair... thats why the professional products usually are the best ....
Alot of professional shampoos have more neutrients in it! the neutrients made my hair alot healthier too!
I'm not sure about that, but from personal experience, i do know that starting a new shampoo always makes my hair prettier and healthier. If i use any one shampoo for too long, my hair gets dry and ugly. Maybe just the fact that you changed up your routine helped your hair.
Well simply because they are more expensive. But honestly, I havent really found a difference. Maybe for you it worked well.

  • Clarifying shampoo take out hair color ? Professional advice ?

I dyed my hair a rich mahogany and it's too dark and bright .... will clarifying shampoo take out or fade some of the color ?

should I dye it back to my regular color (which is a lighter medium brown )?

I dyed it 2 days ago how long should I wait to dye it again ?

    Professional advice please !!

I know I asked this already but no one answered the other one ...Clarifying shampoo take out hair color ? Professional advice ?
hey, id be glad to help. i am 23 years old and have been a stylist fot 3 years now.

your hair will tone down some just by washing.. clarifying shampoo or not- doesnt make much of a difference at all.

it sounds as though you dyed it yourself..which is never a good idea. To make sure you get the shade you want.. I would go ahead and get it dyed back to the color you want AT A SALON!

a correction is hard enough to accomplish.. let alone on your own. thats my advice.

and you really should wait about a week at least. while you are at the salon get a deep conditioning treatment-this will help your hair from breaking. *and always remember to use a heat protectant spray before blowdrying or straightening..this will also keep your hair healthy.

sorry for your bad experience! =( goodluck!!Clarifying shampoo take out hair color ? Professional advice ?
Don't panic it will eventually fade.

No, clarifying shampoo has one job and that is to remove buildup of gels, mousses and other products that weigh down your hair with regular use

If you want to tone the colour down I suggest using John Frieda's colour glaze in brilliant brunette which enhances the brown tones in your hair and will soften the redness of the dye.

I would wait until the dye fades or gets brighter (which is VERY unlikely) until then tie it back and take care of it as usual.

DO NOT attempt to do anything silly or trying any other dyes/products that you THINK may help as it will possibly make it worse and as dyed hair is very sensitive it will most likely just cause more damage.

If you can not bear it any longer go and talk to your hairdresser and say your unhappy most will attempt to fix it for you with a TONER (ask them to use a toner to tone it down to the colour of your choice) and most will happily refund you.

Good luck and don't panic im sure it looks fine and your just panicking everyone hates it at first glance becuase its sucha change!
Depending on if its a box color or professional. If it was a professional color your stylist should've handled that when it was washed out. If it was a at home kit you should use a conditioning shampoo cause box color is very harsh on your hair but after a few shampoos reds fade n e way. Wash it one or 2 times and see if it gets to how you want it. If you wanna to change your hair back to its original color I would wait about a month to be on the safe side but within that month keep it conditioned. To much coloring can make your hair drier and it could start backing REALLY bad and FAST!!

What is the best way to have carpets cleaned ? professional steam cleaning, shampooing, or rent a machine?

and do it yourself ?? also, any products that are good for pet stains if i decide to clean them myself ??What is the best way to have carpets cleaned ? professional steam cleaning, shampooing, or rent a machine?
I think a professional cleaning would be best. They usually target the pet stains first, and remove them before cleaning the whole carpet. We have an outfit where I live that uses a granular cleaner. It lifts the dirt without steam or water so you can walk on the rug right away. Too much moisture from steam or shampoo actually makes the carpet pick up soil easier and faster. Frequent vacuuming helps the rug stay cleaner between all-over carpet cleaning. Try to keep Fido or Fluffy away from carpeted areas. Pet stains are difficult to remove, especially if they are left in place for a long time. If you do decide to clean the rug yourself, be sure to vacuum it thoroughly and get after the pet stains before using the rug shampooer. What is the best way to have carpets cleaned ? professional steam cleaning, shampooing, or rent a machine?
If its your home professional because if anything goes wrong you have proof.

Renting, get a steam cleaner and put mild soap in the tank.(PINE-SOL works) Make sure the water is hot and please clean your carpet first before deep cleaning.

Please use a powerful vacuum like a Kirby or 14 amp. The better you can get the dirt out the longer your carpet will stay clean. Walking around with no shoes on your carpet also prolongs the life of your carpet.
ChemDry just did mine on Monday. I had all kinds of pet stains. I am pretty happy with how it turned out and I will have them do the carpets again.
    A professional Steam Cleaning.
it is better to have a professional cleaning service do your carpets, they get alot more out of your carpet than what you can, and they also have cleaner just for pet stains..
I hired a machine from a local chain store several months ago. I was quite happy with the result. They supplied the cleaning product. One stain that had re-appeared soon after a previous professional job all but disappeared because I was able to go over it four times. It is still faintly there though but much less obvious. Even a hire machine gets a fantastic amount of crud out that ordinary vacuums don't touch.

If you hire a machine get it for at least two days. It is not much more expensive than for a single day. You then have plenty of time to re-do an area after it has dried. Best time is in summer and you can use a desk fan and open windows to dry the carpet quickly.
host is a dry cleaning method you can do yourself. you can rent a small machine made to work with the product it is excellent for any problem you might encounter and it keeps your carpets looking like new for years and its great for allergies too.

I have dry frizzy tough to manage hair, how about using schwarzkopf professional repair rescue shampoo?

You go on trying whatsoever you want to. Basically all of what you are using must not be a namesake professional product. Be honest to yourself and find out what makes a product professional. Is it good packing, good branding, good company, good looks, good smell, etc etc OR is it the quality of the product based on the stuff it contains. Now, take out the bottles of all what you have tried recently and compare the ingredients. I am sure each of these is more or less the same. So, how would be Schwarzkopf professional and Vivel or Sunsilk or anything else be non-professional. Just because of the price ????? Ask yourself. Most of these companies have all this as part of their marketing strategies - calling a product 'professional', 'latest development', 'newly discovered', 'breakthrough technology', 'developed in their lab', etc etc. All this is infact pure trash.

Think of a product that has the choicest best for your hair and hair-root and scalp, to make everything healthy and perfect and clear and hygienic. Would that make it professional? Obviously yes.

Study the Segals Solutions Program and what all it contains. Compare it with all what you have used till now. Then decide for yourself, honestly. Does anything (including your Schwarzkopf professional repair rescue shampoo) even come closer????....Not even a remote chance. If anything is similar or closer, go for it unhesitatingly

Can i use baby shampoo to clean professional makeup brushes?(i have acne prone skin will this be okay)?

I only buy expensive professional brushes and I want to preserve their life span.

    Here's my routine.

I clean my brushes almost daily with a brush cleanser (just to get the color off of them).

    But...

Once a week I thoroughly wash them (gently!! dont ruffle the bristles too much!) with Johnson's Baby Shampoo. Just a little dab, and run under lukewarm water (never too hard, you could mess with the glue) until the water washes clean.

Press them gently onto a towel and let them dry on their side or upside down if at all possible. Don't place them face up as you can possible alter their shape while drying.

They will be soft, and clean. I've been using this technique for years and my brushes are still like new.

good luck :o)Can i use baby shampoo to clean professional makeup brushes?(i have acne prone skin will this be okay)?
Yes that will be perfectly fine. You don't need to buy any of those expensive brush cleaners when baby shampoo will do the same thing! Can i use baby shampoo to clean professional makeup brushes?(i have acne prone skin will this be okay)?
better to use something that will cut the oil, dawn dish liquid. make sure you rinse really good. and let them air dry
I've seen this question yesterday, it was just new that time. Hmmm... i read somebody's answer who said that there's actually no particular soap that you should use in cleaning your make up brushes. As long as it can clean it well, that's all that matters!
Yes baby shampoo is gentle,it will work let the brushes

    air dry though!!
Yes of course it is okay!! Although you might want to wash it with some antibacterial handsoap first!! I usually clean my brushes every other week or so with handsoap, and then shampoo and conditioner (just to keep the hairs soft and in good condition).

I just recently started using professional shampoos, like Matrix?

Biolage Volume Therapy Shampoo, and I was wondering if by using this professional kind of shampoo if your hair can grow faster. I think it makes a huge difference in the way my hair looks and feels. It is alot shinier and has alot more body. I can't believe what a difference professional shampoos can do to your hair. I firmly believe in using them. I am having a hard time going back to store bought now. There must be some very good ingredients in these professional shampoos.I just recently started using professional shampoos, like Matrix?
I don't think the shampoo would actually make your hair grow faster. The shampoo goes on your hair on the outside of your head. Growth rate would be controlled by something under your skin. However, a good shampoo can make your hair stronger. Stronger hair won't break off as much, so it might seem like your hair is growing faster because more of it is staying intact.

Is it safe to wash professional highlighted hair with drug store bought shampoo?

yes just as long as it is made for color-treated hair. most shampoos nowadays have protectants in their product to protect color treated or permed hair. just make sure you don't get anything that says reconstructor! it can strip the colorIs it safe to wash professional highlighted hair with drug store bought shampoo?
I don't see the problem. Make sure you use a shampoo and conditioner for color-treated hair.Is it safe to wash professional highlighted hair with drug store bought shampoo?
Yeah its safe it is not going to hurt you but you should use the salon shampoo for color treated hair. Your highlights will last longer. John Amico makes a good one.

Are professional shampoos and conditioners really better than those from drugstores?

I have dry, long hair. I would like to buy some professional hair care products (Loreal absolute repair shampoo or intense repair shampoo, i haven't decided yet), but before i will do that, i would like to know, if this professional products are really better than for example Pantene? In WHAT exactly??? Cause everyone says that they are simply better, but in what ways? They moisturize better, they last longer or ??? Thanks for your answers :)Are professional shampoos and conditioners really better than those from drugstores?
pantene has lots of waxes in it which in the long run really isn't very good for your hair and makes it less shiny..

professional shampoos and conditioners just seem to work better than the rest of the drug store brands... for your long dry hair i'd probably recommend K-Pak from Joico. You can find it at ULTA or i'm sure online somewhere. Its protein based shampoos and conditioners so it helps to rebuid your hair. I'd recommend you using the regular shampoo (not chelating) and the deep-penetraiting reconstructor followed by the intense hydrator. If you do have an ULTA by you i'd recommend going there because its Buy 2 Get 1 free and unfortunately they do not sell it on the website..

good luck, hope i helped!!Are professional shampoos and conditioners really better than those from drugstores?
    The main difference is that professional hair care products boast exotic ingredients that most people don't even recognise. They see it, think that it MUST be great because the shampoo is $20 a bottle, and buy into it. All you're paying for is the ability to say ';Oh, yeah, I use expensive shampoo because I'm awesome like that.';

In all actuality, the more higher-end brands of retail shampoo (Herbal Essences, etc. rather than Suave or VO5) are just as good as Redken or Biolage.
The professional shampoos and conditioners are better, but not all. The stuff from drugstores could be knockoffs. Meaning it could be a fraud. I recommend Paul Mitchell. It works well.
i think they are better in some ways but they're is no huge difference

    they just smell really good

and make your hair look really shiny but thats about it.

I surely answered your question on your child's crying at night. I looked after my three kids the same way. They usually cry at night after a wonderful sleep during the day but they don't mind to sleep again if they are comfortable.

I am interested in answering only five very urgent questions every day.

The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free, soit wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! They have different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Albertsons, Kroger, Duane Reade, Safeway, etc. You'll love it!
