Can you shampoo a mattress? Is there a professional service for this?

Cannot believe my cat decided to pee on my fairly new mattress. Its a pillow top so I can't just clean it and turn it over. What can I do?????Can you shampoo a mattress? Is there a professional service for this?
First, I would blot up and dry as much of it as you can. After that, there are a couple of options you can try. You can try using upholstery cleaners, mild detergent mixed with water or white vinegar (especially if there is a smell). You want to make sure that you do not soak the mattress though. Letting liquid get down into the foams will break down the mattress faster and could cause mildew or mold, which would be much worse than the stains. Use a damp sponge to apply your cleaning mixture and blot it dry. After you are finished let it air dry.

I would also suggest purchasing a mattress protector. There are plenty of protectors now that don't give that ';plastic sheet'; feeling and still give complete protection from not only spills and liquids but also dust mites. Something like this would be a good solution: http://www.mattressdirectonline.com/seal鈥?/a>Can you shampoo a mattress? Is there a professional service for this?
Most carpet cleaning services will clean sofas and mattresses.

We have a few people bring them into our laundromat and wash them in our giant washer.

The pillow top unzips from the mattress. It is best if you can zip around it after you take it off, because some of them have that fabric that can't take heat and will melt. You would have to hang it in front of a oscillating fan to dry it after washing it.
I would use a professional steam cleaner.
Try a proffessional cleaner. :)
