Color protecting shampoo/conditioner/spray for purple hair?

Hey, I recently dyed my hair dark purple with demi-permanent dye from hottopic... I went to the pool a few days after and after a few hours you couldn't even see the purple anymore. They had just added chlorine to the pool too. I wanted to find some kind of shampoo or anything I can put in my hair to make it last longer, that's not too expensive.

Thanks.Color protecting shampoo/conditioner/spray for purple hair?
I would suggest using Aveeda Color Conserve Shampoo and Conditioner.Color protecting shampoo/conditioner/spray for purple hair?
Well you obviously know that the chlorine screwed up your hair. You're probably going to have to dye your hair again. Just go out to the drugstore and read labels for color protecting shampoo/conditioner. I'm assuming you used Manic Panic or something like that, and that dye fades fairly fast, so there's not much that a shampoo/conditioner can do.
well really you'll find all the best stuff at the salon but it is expensive. i don't think you can really get good quality for a low price.

bed head has some stuff you might want to check out. they do lots of stuff for coloured hair.

good luck :)

  • Does anyone have experience with Clobex 5% shampoo & spray?

Recently, I was diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis, and my dermathologist prescirbed Clobex shampoo %26amp; spray. Since it is very strong shampoo with Corticosteroids, I don't know if it is safe to use both of them together. Does anyone have any experience with these medications? Does Clobex cause acne, the same as Prednisone? I was on Prednisone few years ago, for Crohn's disease, and it gave me severe acne. I appreciate your answers.Does anyone have experience with Clobex 5% shampoo %26amp; spray?
I have psoriasis. I am actually using the shampoo and lotion at the moment. I am using the lotion for 2 weeks twice a day and then the shampoo twice a week. Its worked really well for me. When you use the shampoo after you rinse your hair, make sure you wash your body to rinse the shampoo off your skin. (I don't know your order of what you do in the shower!) haha

I never broke out from it at all.

Its ok to use both since the shampoo you leave on for 15 min and rise. The lotion/spray is what stays on the skin. So really its not double the percentage.Does anyone have experience with Clobex 5% shampoo %26amp; spray?
I use the shampoo at every hair wash. It is wonderful. Before I got this I was using Pentrax. I used it everyday for years with no side effects until it was band. I have used Clobex for almost a year. No side effects that I know of. I wash about 2-3 times a week. But I wet hair and lather for 15 min Report Abuse

What's the best treatment for dog fleas? Shampoo, drops, spray or comb?

Can you get injections for dog fleas? What's the best treatment for dog fleas? Shampoo, drops, spray or comb?
Frontline is the only type of flea treatment that works for my dogs and cats. I have two pets with flea allergies (one of my dogs and one of my cats) so not treating fleas is a non-option. I have tried natural treatment with zero success. Frontline has always been consistent and highly affective. What's the best treatment for dog fleas? Shampoo, drops, spray or comb?
the best treatment for dog fleas would probably be canineadvantage spray, canine advantage shampoo, and combing doesnt really get the fleas out. and 80% of the time drops dont work. try it.
frontline its great also treat the house your vet will have some spray for the house its costly put you dont want the cycle to continue
the tablets are better but frontline from the vets is the best
drops and get them from your vet not at the store
Get some drops from the vets more expensive than the pet shop but they do work.
funny you should ask....i went to the vet last week and they told me that they could give my pup a flea jab,but it would cost 拢350 !!!
Once you have got rid of the initial infestation, frontline is the most popular, give it garlic pearls in its food good for the heart and once in the blood fleas hate it and move on.
Advantage works beautifully. It is somewhat expensive, but works like a charm. See your vet or go to 1800petmeds.com
Just to reinforce - Frontline - no need for injections, shampoos - just squidge it on the back of your dog's neck .. available from any decent vet ..
Yeah you can get injections. My dog has to get injections because of his sensitive skin. But if you want a cheap, non-chemical way to get rid of the fleas, Olive oil works. Just pour it on your dog and comb through his/her fur with a lice comb. It works wonders.
First let me tell you that I own a pest control company and what I will recommend is the complete treatment that should help you completely get rid of the fleas.

First, treat the pet with Capstar. This is a pill that you get from the vet that will kill all of the fleas that get on the animal for the first 24 hours. Second, use either Frontline or Advantage, these can also be purchased from the vet. Frontline can be used on pets 12 weeks old or older. Advantage can be used on animals as young as 6 weeks. If the pet is old enough for either product, switch back and forth between the two. One month use one, the next use the other. The reason I recommend this is that there are two main types of fleas that infest pets. One product works better on the first type and the other product works better on the second type. By using both, you make sure you have covered all your bases.

Once the pet has been treated, you must treat your home and yard. The best products to do this would include not only a killing agent, but also a sterilization agent. Inside, I would use Ultracide, if you can get it. (Many on line sites sell it.) Follow the instructions on the label! Wash all animal鈥檚 bedding and vacuum frequently. Throw out the vacuum bag or dump the catch container after every vacuuming. You can never vacuum too much! DO NOT STEAM CLEAN YOUR RUGS! This can hatch flea eggs and make your problem worse.

Outside I would use Demon WP mixed with Gentrol or Nylar, carefully following label instructions. Treat the entire yard, paying special attention to under bushes and low hanging branches. Most of these products can be bought at any Do-It-Yourself Pest Control company either on line or in a store.

Treating your house and yard is just as important as treating the pet!

It is also very important to stay away from the grocery store or box store products like Zodiac or Hartz. Many of these products can cause severe allergic reactions in animals.
It is a two step process. To get rid of the fleas currently on your dog, use a good flea shampoo. Then take him to the vet and he will give you a pill that will kill any fleas or eggs that were left behind. You can then put him on a once a month preventive flea medicine. I prefer Frontline. This should take care of it. Be sure to wash all dog bedding in hot water as well.
    Frontline
Do all that you mentioned... Shampoo and make sure you use frontline in the future
What's best is a combination of what you've mentioned. Bathe the dog in a non-insecticidal shampoo, leaving the shampoo on the dog for 5 minutes before rinsing. This will kill the majority of the fleas. While the dog is in the tub marinating in the shampoo, have someone be treating the carpet and sleeping areas with a powder or spray. Dry your dog and then comb out any little critters that might be left. Then apply the drops suggested by your vet. I personally prefer Frontline. Most drops require that you wait a few days to apply them after bathing so the dog's natural coat oils will make them spread effectively.

    Never heard of injections.
Id recommend drops. But you have to keep the treatment up ,every 5/6 wks
the best thing for fleas is garlic my grandma told me about it at first i thought she was nuts but it turned out it worked. try it it might work for you too.let me know
I find the best treatment is to combine all these things.

First, flea shampoo thoroughly. Then spray the areas your pet goes in - washing all bedding etc. If the floor is carpeted you will need to spray the whole floor.

Then the next day, spray your pet to kill off any remaining fleas.

Then keep using drops and spray until you have no sign of more fleas.
    i think drops!

    good luck!
Drops are best. I've had no good luck with drops lasting a long time though. But shampoos are pointless without the drops since the fleas will still live in your carpet/furniture. With flea drops, its absorbed into the skin and the fleas stay away therefore moving onto their next victim.
Frtontline, advantage or revolution. These are topical treatments (meaning they are applied to the skin) that need to be applied once a month.

    They really work.
flea dip is the BEST treatment..the vet can prob do it and then make sure you keep him/her on frontline and NOT a flea coller..they dont work :) hope that helps some..OH and you need to bug bomb your house too a couple of times because they will live and bite you and get on everything..they live a VERY long time
Shampoo for sure. my dog had fleas and we washed him in this flea shampoo for 3 days in a row and his fleas were immediately gone. they work for a pretty long time but every once in a while we have to wash him again

Should i get spray shampoo for my cat if he gets dirty fast??

people say u should not wash cats but mine gets dirty so should I?Should i get spray shampoo for my cat if he gets dirty fast??
NO! Unless your cat rolls in something smelly or dangerous DO NOT wash it. Cats are naturally very clean animals and leave it and it will wash it's self. If he gets mucky paws etc just get some pet wipes from the pet shop, they are like baby wipes for pets. Your cat will get very upset and will most definitely won't thank you for it! Cats aren't like dogs and do not need washing.Should i get spray shampoo for my cat if he gets dirty fast??
Wash him or her. Go to pet store and get cat shampoo. Fill up the tub just about 2 inch. and lather them with the soap. Also do not get her eyes and nose wet. Make sure the temperature of the water is not too hot not too cold either.
yes if your cat is an outdoor cat you should wash him/her. cause they get ticks, bugs and dirt all in their fur. Mines is exclusively an indoor cat and i wash him still once every 2 months just for my satisfaction.
i wash my cat becuz he likes to just sit in the back yard. there's nothing wrong with it if you don't get water near their faces.

Where i can buy bio hair solution shampoo at spray & how much is it?

bio hair shampoo %26amp; bio hair spray for hair loss solution.Where i can buy bio hair solution shampoo at spray %26amp; how much is it?
it work only in rare cases...

anyway as we know hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections, hormonal problems, to mention a few.

year ago I suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.

the things that really worked for me was:

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with Aloe Vera, Garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also I used herbal treatment - Provillus (do not use Rogaine - it can cause unwanted hair growth elsewhere on the body)

It is a good products that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair! I think it is very important!Where i can buy bio hair solution shampoo at spray %26amp; how much is it?
May be you dont need that shampoo??

Most people would say it's stress. This stress can cause a number of health problems as well as diseases. It's crazy out of all these health problems hair fall is like the most serious and frustrating problem, rite?

This is the reason why the people keep on looking for the best natural hair loss treatment. They look for natural treatment because only natural treatments will have no side effects(and thats important!!). The natural treatments will be safe as well as effective and for them you do not need to spend a lot of money.

But before you go for any treatment make sure that the treatment will serve your purpose. First of all you must know the actual cause of hair fall problem. It might be due to a number of reasons. The treatments depend upon the causes. One of the natural ingredients which can help to prevent hair loss is saw palmetto. I know you're like...What in the !@#$ is Saw Palmetto...lol.

Well anyway Saw Palmetto is an herb which can also be called the best herb in the world to treat hair fall problem. This herb can help you to avoid baldness has it has the properties to decrease the DHT which usually is the main cause for men pattern baldness. This herb is also an anti androgen agent and can therefore prevent hair fall and it can also strengthen the hair follicles.

The only home made remedy that i know that you can do as the best natural hair loss treatment is drink lots of water. Water helps you to maintain a balance and it also flushes away the harmful toxins which can also become the cause of hair loss problem. The other supplement which you can take to prevent hair to fall is biotin. Biotin can prevent as well as help in the regrowth of the hair, did you know that?

People all over the world suffer from hair loss. They regularly think about what it would be like to regain the hair they once had. People who suffer from hair loss commonly have self confidence problems. But if there was a product that was able to give back the hair you once had and rebuild your self confidence, with a money back guarantee. Would you use it? Well, there is a product. The product is Provillus

What can Provillus do for you? The Provillus supplement contains a slew of natural ingredients. Saw palmetto is present to stop the build up of DHT (dihydrotestosterone) on the scalp, and another half dozen or more ingredients that aid in the regrowth of new healthy hair. If your really serious about regaining your hair go check it out...Provillus
    check your dru store

if you want to stop hair loss i would use Mira hair oil

    it worked for me

I like a lady to smell with just a hint of perfume that is lite. I don't care to smell you a block away, and your perfume burn my eyes when you arrive. Women has a natural scent called ferrinomes that attract men, and when this is covered up by heavy perfumes, you are not as attractive as you would be. When a woman is ovulating she puts off more of these ferrimomes. I saw a special on this on the discovery channel. I don't know the exact spelling of them, but I was supprised to see this. It's not the perfume that men like that much, but a good clean scent that is not to over the top is good.
Japanese Cherry Blossom or Cherry Blossom from Bath and Body works. My boyfriend loves when I wear the Japanese Cherry Blossom.

  • Can lotion, body spray, perfume, shampoo, shower gel, etc expire?

I found a lotion bottle and some shower stuff in a box from a couple of years ago and I don't know if I can still use them. Can lotion, body spray, perfume, shampoo, shower gel, etc expire?
Yes they can expire....if it's a lotion bottle look on the bottom or the back of the container and there should be a little symbol that looks like an open jar and there should be a number in the middle of the open jar symbol....that number stands for how many months the product is good for once it has been opened.

Like this: http://www.cosmeticscop.com/images/bb-01鈥?/a>Can lotion, body spray, perfume, shampoo, shower gel, etc expire?
Lotion, shampoo, body spray, and shower gel definitely expire. Well-made (high end expensive) perfume does not expire easily and can be kept for decades.
    Lotion - Yes.

    Body Spray - No.

    Perfume - No.

    Shampoo - Yes, depending.

Shower gel - No, not really.
lol, no they don't expire. I found some of my mom's old perfume (from the 80's) and it still smells great. (although i don't know why she's had it so long?)
don't use it after a year cause all the chemicals and everything is old, and just nasty!
Lotion i know goes bad..i have had a bottle for like 3 years and i put it on and it smelt SO bad.
It may not have expired but its better to avoid its usage.
I think shower gel and shampoo expire but all da rest r fine.
    you can still use them
i don't think so but i know that deodorant can expire.
    yes

    Luck with instant spray shampoo?

I was reading a magazine that recommended the use of instant spray shampoo to lengthen the time between shampoos. Has anyone used instant spray shampoo and have you had an luck with it?Luck with instant spray shampoo?
I used an instant spray shampoo once after a long night at the club and an early work day. It's not a cleaning spray, it's more of a Febreze for hair... it absorbs hair odors, but doesn't do much else. It's good if you smoke cigarettes or are around food smells all day and want to mask the odor - but nothing beats a good shampoo.

I hope this helps.Luck with instant spray shampoo?
Mom says that was out in the 1970s, by Clairol, called Psssssst Instant Spray Shampoo. Back then, people were just starting to wash their hair during every shower - before that some just washed it once a week YUK. She says it was kind of powdery - just made the hair LOOK less oily.
instant spray shampo?never heard of the stuff
That is crazy. I doubt people have used it but that I guess it would be one of the newest 20th century inventions. Instant Spray Shampoo. PFFFFF
never tried it, but I would think that would be gross in a way...not washing your hair in all.

    John Frieda Frizz-Ease products!!!
I use aussi sprunch and high-shine hairspray to keep the curl, but what really helps keep the frizz down is a daily leave-in treatment from the Suave professional line ... it's like a leave-in conditioner, but much much lighter - And it's super cheap! Also you can try using a diffuser to dry your hair instead of letting it air dry.
A curl cream. If you want to go cheap, Sunsilk makes a good one in the blue bottle.

For something a little higher quality, try Curls Rock amplifier. Try putting a quarter sized amount in your palms and work it through. If that's not enough try dimed sized amounts until you get the control you desire.

without using like a curling iron just using the spray or the shampoo ( i like my hair to always be curly but its like straight so i want something that is fast or over night)What type of hair shampoo or spray can i use to make my hair curly and stay curly?
Sounds like you need to get a 'permanent' ... that's the only way your hair is going to 'get and stay curly' without using curling irons or setting it every night and sleeping on rollers. No hair spray or shampoo will make your hair 'get curly' ... it will have to be 'rolled properly' at least once ... and then when it starts to 'grow out' you'll have to have another permanent again, but probably not for at least three months and up to a year. What type of hair shampoo or spray can i use to make my hair curly and stay curly?
there is a shampoo called wash n curl, but I don't know how effective it is, especially with straight hair.. Have you thought of a perm??
If your hair is naturally straight the best thing you can do is get a LIGHT perm. I highlighted the word ';light'; because a normal perm can damage you hair really bad. The perm+proper maintanence will keep you hair shiny and in a good condition.

Ohh...if u decide to do this please have it done by a profesional!
None without using curlers or tongs as your hair is straight

They used to sell it at Rite Aid pharmacy. I don't know if they still do. I tried it. I took it on a camping trip since I wouldn't be able to wash my hair. It is way too expensive and doesn't really do a good job. It made it smell clean, but my hair was still oily.
Yea it was a big thing in the early seventies, it was hideous people actually thought it worked. It was so gross I will never forget that smell. I can't remember what it was called.
Can't say I've ever heard of this. I have heard of sprinkeling powder in your hair to make it look less greasy if you don't have time to wash.

Could I use a spray bottle mixed with shampoo and water as a makeup brush cleaner.?

I looked at the ingredients of a shampoo bottle and it's main ingredients where the same as a $10 brush cleanerCould I use a spray bottle mixed with shampoo and water as a makeup brush cleaner.?
Yes you can just use Shampoo to clean your makeup brushes, but make sure it's gentle baby shampoo. If you wanna make a real makeup brush cleaner you can mix distilled water, alchohol, dishwashing soap, spray on leave in conditioner (chi and paul mitchell makes good ones)

mix 1 cup water, 1/4 cup alchohol, 1/2 tablespoon of dishsoap, 1/2 tablespoon shampoo, 1 tablespoon leave in conditioner. gently stir everything together and put it in a spray bottle. hope this helps, good luck.Could I use a spray bottle mixed with shampoo and water as a makeup brush cleaner.?
You actually don't have to dilute the mixture if you use a gentle baby shampoo or antibacterial hand soap. If you are going to use a baby shampoo make sure you use one with no conditioner or fragrance. Use Johnson and Johnson original baby shampoo. You only want to shampoo your brushes every three to four weeks. NEVER submerge the brushes. Take a small amount ( the size of a nickle or dime ) in the palm of your hand. Run your brush under warm water swirl the brush into the shampoo until it forms a lather. Then move on to the next brush. The gently massage the lather into the brush and rinse with warm water. Wring out the excess water and lay flat on a paper towel to dry over night. Don't place them in a cup as the excess water will run down and loosen the glue that holds the bristles in place. As far as cleanings in between washing try a mix of alcohol and water. around 50/50. Spray it on a paper towel and rub the brush over he damp paper towel. Like magic your done. Hope this helps.
If you want to disinfect your brushes, put alcohol (99%) in the spray bottle. I am not sure about brush cleaner, the only one I like is Cinema Secrets ... all the others suck IMO. I disinfect my personal brushes once a week and shampoo them once a month. For brushes used in cream products (foundations, cream shadows, gel liners) I just wipe them on a makeup remover wipe until the wipe is all full. Obviously I do not do that with my professional brushes! They are cleaned and disinfected after each use.
I have used hair shampoo %26amp; rinse with lots of warm water to clean my brushes but I also like to use a body shampoo sometimes. Just rinse well %26amp; tap the extra water off %26amp; let your brush air dry.

I don't use a blow dryer to help it dry faster, that messed up my bristles %26amp; made them spread out.
You can use shampoo and water to clean makeup brushes. I would consider using an anti-fungal cleaner every couple of months or so, also. You can get them quite reasonably at a beauty supply or drugstore.
something easier just use anti bacterial gel on a disposable type towel and run the brush back and fourth drys fast no bacteria will grow from left over moisture etc..
I always use this Brush Cleanser from MAC

    It's 10 dollars.

Then for monthly I would use Baby Shampoo for deep cleaning the brushes.
I would suggest using a anti-bacterial soap, like Softsoap. (the clear one) I use it on a regular basis and it works really well.
I have always cleaned my make-up brushes with a week solution of baby shampoo and water. I have never had any problems.
i wouldnt use a regular shampoo. I use baby shampoo because it's gentle
Yes, I do the same thing and it works great. Make sure to rinse them well!

  • Is there a shampoo/conditioner/spray etc that will protect your hair from the sun?

I am starting summer marching band starting in August, and it's going to be from 7am to 3:30pm...so, I want to protect my hair. I'm also going to be wearing a hat, but I don't want all of my hair in my hat because it will look strange lol.Is there a shampoo/conditioner/spray etc that will protect your hair from the sun?
    you should use:

-Garnier Fructis Sleek n Shine Leave-In Conditioner

-Garnier Fructis Sleek n Shine Shampoo and spray

Those shampoo/conditioner/spray help frizzy, damaged, uncontrollable hair. **I mainly use it before I use a blow dryer, straightener, curler...etc. because it adds moisture to your hair and protects it from any kind of heat. It costs about $1-$6

How to use Garnier Fructis Sleek n Shine Leave-In Conditioner:

it is a leave-in conditioner so you DON'T rinse it off !!

-Apply it on dry on damp hair, i recommend damp hair.

-Squeeze an quarter coin size amount on your hair.

    -Apply it on your hair.

-Comb your hair to make sure it is applied all over

hope this helps...good luck !!Is there a shampoo/conditioner/spray etc that will protect your hair from the sun?
there's a sunsilk shampoo for that. i can't remember the name. but the colour of the bottle is dark blue and black. not the anti dandruff one which is light blue and dark blue. it works
    yeah, there is.

it just depends on your hair type.

just look for labels that have spf signs on them or sun protector, around those areas.

    What's a really good heat proctecting spray/serum/shampoo/etc?

i used Dove Heat Protecting shampoo and conditioner, but i wanted to know if there are better ones than that since i just ran out of it. ThanksWhat's a really good heat proctecting spray/serum/shampoo/etc?
    the Tresemme heat Protectant

Can I combine the Tresemme shampoo/conditioner and heat protection spray with the CHI silk infusion?

I straighten my hair everyday and right now i use got2be and john frieda, but I am thinking of switching to tresemme shampoo and heat protection spray and the CHI silk infusion, will it work better for my hair and make it silky smooth????

I have very thin hair and it tends to get frizzy and when i straighten it with my old straightener, it flips out(but my chi is coming in the mail soon). Can I combine the Tresemme shampoo/conditioner and heat protection spray with the CHI silk infusion?
Wow i love you girl! I absolutely love John Frieda Brilliante Brunette Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner! It makes my hair so silky! I think you should stick with that. You can definatley shampoo with Tresseme Shampoo and Conditioner and then apply some silk infusion in your hair before you blow dry or air dry, then apply a little more before u flat iron. Chi Silk infusion is also AMAZING!! i love it so much and it works WONDERS! Chi is also the best iron next to the really spendy GHD. You go girl! Your gonna do fine :D

Also try using the John Frieda Brunette Volumizing Shampoo or the whole new John Frieda Volumizing Line they just came out with!! OR if you say your hair gets really frizzy, john frieda has the Brunetter Lustrous Smooth Shampoo and Conditoner. Try any combination or John Frieda Brunetter Volume or Lustrous Smooth or John Frieda Luxurios Volume! I would say... Shampoo with John Frieda Brunette Volume cuz it wont make your hair so flat and fine, John Frieda Lustrous Smooth Brunette Conditioner to make it smooth and silky, and Chi Silk Infusion before u dry it and before u flat iron. ROCK ON GIRL!!

Can I take shampoo and hair spray on an airplane in my luggage, not my carry on?

Yes, you can take those items in your checked baggage.

May I make a suggestion? Look into getthing the travel hairspray. They come in the plastic bottles. I've seen some hair spray cans explode in bags over people's stuff. You have to remember that your bags will be under an extreme amount of pressure.

You should also get the 3.4 oz. bottles of shampoo and take them in your carry on. Place those bottles in a quart size bag and then you can have all of your stuff arrive. Can I take shampoo and hair spray on an airplane in my luggage, not my carry on?
    Yes you can.

If it was carry on, they need to be in 3 oz bottles that fit into one quart size ziplock bag.

Checked in luggage, you don't have restrictions. Can I take shampoo and hair spray on an airplane in my luggage, not my carry on?
    hell nnoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Yes, you can take it in your checked luggage.
    in one word.....YES

    In your checked luggage only.
Yes. I checked the TSA website for you and you can take full sized bottles in your checked luggage not your carry one. In your carry on you may only take 3oz bottle in the original bottle and only enough bottle that you can fit them all in a clear ziplock bag. Check out tsa.gov for full travel info
if you're checking it in. yes you can. but best to check with the airline. they should have a website that you can find out.

Question re: Neem oil spray/shampoo for skin?

Just came back from the pet supply, I bought a bottle of Neem Oil skin protection spray based on their recommendation....has anyone tried this stuff with either good or bad results? My mastiff is having a bit of shedding in spots- Looks like a fungus to me- which makes sense since he spent the last 6 weeks on antibiotics- He sure smells pretty with this stuff, just wonder if it actually does anything?Question re: Neem oil spray/shampoo for skin?

I use it on my guys and it works great. It really relieves their itching and makes their coats soft. Actually I use the all natural flea spray wiht Neem and never use the other harsh chemcials. No fleas and great coats.
We use Malaseb. It will cure almost any skin problem.
Neem is a great product. Everytime you brush or comb her I would spray a little on. Remember to spray it on after every bathe.

rinse your hair a couple of times with 1/4 c white vinegar and 2 c water. i got this from cosmopolitan magazine this month. i tried it, works pretty well. you will want to wash it afterwards otherwise your head will smell like vinegar. also, you should look into using a deepcontioner once a month, it sounds like if your hair is crispy it may not be just the hairspray, you hair may need some TLC. Baby your locks.
Use shampoo repeatedly. Have a great day.
I use Garnier Fructis shampoo every day; it seems to do the best job getting everything out of my hair, including the liberal amount of maximum strength hair spray I use!
erm...normal everyday shampoo...if u use too much hairspray wash your hair twice, that always works!

    baking soda are you mad?!

and erm i believe she said ';no specail shampoos'; duh!
Umm yes..the baking soda really does work. Just mix some in with your shampoo. Do this a couple times then wash it with just shampoo to get all of the baking soda out. Then use your conditioner as normal.

Can you use spray n wash to shampoo carpets?

I do. Just to make sure try it in a little unseen corner first to make sure it does not discolor your carpet. Can you use spray n wash to shampoo carpets?
Whenever I spill something on the carpet that stains I use spray n wash on it. It works really well to get the stains out. I always try to scrub the stain out after spraying it and then get a wet cloth to scrub it with after that. Don't use anything with bleach though or it will bleach your carpet! Can you use spray n wash to shampoo carpets?
Use anything that you want. My favorite mixture for a steam cleaner is 1 cup of white vinegar..1 cup of ammonia..a couple of ounces of wisk or your favorite laundry detergent per gallon tank. Detergent..basicall for the fragrance. Don't use amonia if you have pets.
I wouldn't try it. It could fade in the area where you put it. Just go to Wal-Mart and get some carpet spray. It works really good.
    yes is a foam spray

Does anyone know what kind of spray or shampoo some one should use if their hair frizzez up in cold weather?

My hair seems to get static and bushy when i go outside in humid or kind of cold weather. Is their any spray or shampoo for this kind of hair? I guess it has something to do with lack of moisture in my hair. It is quite dry. Also does blotting paper only remove shine and oil of your face or does it take of your makeup too? My face gets very sweaty as the day goes on!!Does anyone know what kind of spray or shampoo some one should use if their hair frizzez up in cold weather?
If your hair is dry, switch to a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner made for frizzy hair. I use Redkin's Allsoft products and found that they work the best to combat my frizzies, better than Neutrogena, Pantene, Fructis or John Frieda (Frizz-Ease). I also deep condition my hair once a week to keep it healthier. You can try spraying a bit of hairspray on your brush, or just run a dryer cling through your hair or use antistatic spray (like the kind you get for clothes, just use very little of it!). As for the blotting sheets, they shouldn't take off your makeup. I use the ones by Clean %26amp; Clear and love them. They just mop up the grease, they don't have any powder on them or anything, which I like because the powdered ones make my skin look cakey. Keep in mind though that the blotting sheets won't help against sweaty skin, just oily skin.Does anyone know what kind of spray or shampoo some one should use if their hair frizzez up in cold weather?
Yes! John Frieda makes nice products-I have used them myself! I have fine, thin hair and all the products have worked nicely for me. AND ';'blotting papers''; just pick up oils...
I have found Paul Mitchell leave in conditioner works great! I have tried almost everything out there for frizzy hair and this works best for me. It is a little pricier than some of the other recommendations but you don't need to use as much.
I find that when i spray hairspray into my hairbrush (after i have already brushed it first) and brush my hair again, it isn't so frizzy and bushy.

Also using Infusium moisture spray, from walmart, helps.
i deal with your problem too..i use oil sheen hair spray by isoplus..you can buy at most walmarts or believe it or not at food basics...i love this...its oily and is referred to as';hair doctor...in a can
first off im a hairdresser so i hope this helps. if you have naturally curly or wavy hair it will be drier than someone with staight hair. wash your hair with liss extreme shampoo twice followed by liss extreme conditioner. then whilst the hair is wet put liss extreme serum on. all these products can be bought from any l'oreal salon. serum is very good for dry friizzy hair. hope it helps.
cover your hair when you go outside in the cold and use fructis for smooth and strong hair
you know I learned this trick from a hairdresser i trained under... he used the the static spray that you use on clothing...i think its called no clings? dont quote me on that one..but usually in cold weather we get more static because of the wools and sweaters and all the fuzzy things to keep us warm.. you should definately use a moisturizing shampoo.. if ur on a budget loreal makes awesome shampoos and conditioners that they sell at drugstores for like 5 bucks.. the Loreal Nutrileum line u can use but if money isnt an issue you can use the kerastase line which is also an amazing product.. good luck
The Fructis sleek %26amp; shine line is great on my frizzy hair... their serum works just as good as the expensive types out there!
isnt there a pantene thing for winter damaged hair?

What shampoo and hair spray can I use to stop my color treated hair from oxidizing in the Florida sun?

How to make eco friendly carpet shampoo for my spray extraction machine?

The most eco-friendly one that I've used that I like is washing soda and hydrogen peroxide. For each gallon of warm water, add one tablespoon of soda, and either 1 cup of regular drugstore peroxide, or 1/4 to 1/3 cup of natural all-fabric bleach (Seventh Generation or Ecover brand).

These natural all-fabric bleaches are available at your local health food store. All it is, is 12% food grade hydrogen peroxide. It's gonna cost about $5 for 2 quarts.

Recently, I saw hydrogen peroxide being sold at K-Mart of all places, as ';natural all fabric bleach.'; I don't know what the strength of the KM product is, but you could give it a try if you have a KM nearby. It was dirt-cheap, like $1.75 for a gallon.

A problem I've had recently is the difficulty in finding washing soda. Look around. If you can't find it, I would substitute borax, the same amount (1 Tbsp per gallon).

If you have lots of dirt and grime, add 1/3 cup ammonia to your solution. People argue whether ammonia is really eco-friendly, but it is simple, cheap, and it's an excellent cleaner. How to make eco friendly carpet shampoo for my spray extraction machine?

I heard that Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight doesn't work, but, again, I've only heard that and I haven't tried it before.

Just keep your hair in good condition; condition it every day and only wash it once or twice a week. I know that sounds gross, but my hair stylist told me that hair shouldn't be washed every day or every other day.

Hair works better when it's healthy.

the best is the pantene pro-v, herbal esscence, and aussie all mixed together in a nice consistent silky and delightful GOOP mixture. it work here are the mixing instructions:

you take your shirt off and use it as a cup to measure the pantene pro-v... then take off your yellow bra and use it as a smaller cup for the herbal esscence because too much of this shampoo makes it fluidy,... finalement take a giraffe withlimited brown spots and use it to assist you in adding the final shampoo.. AUSSIE.. you need a quarter and a half cup of that.. thank-you and i hope you try this (a hint of gelaton will work like a charm for conditioner.. i promise it really works.. take a picture of the results and post it! thanks)

Yes, there is a product and you already said it. Actually, it's called Zero Frizz. It's oil-free and alcohol free. They have a web site which is: www.zerofrizz.com

It's a fine mist spray which you can take with you. Found at WalMart.

Can anyone suggest a good leave in conditioner & spray shampoo?

I have a slight tiny bit of dandruff (it's most obvious when my hair is ';dirty'; meaning, i haven't washed it for a day.)

Sometimes I just can't wash my hair EVERYDAY. (doesn't happen often, probably like 4 times a month, when im really really busy)

    I have long hair.

So can anyone suggest a good leave in conditioner %26amp; spray shampoo?

How do you get rid of lice? If you keep using the shampoo & conditioner & the spray & dry everything.?

I have also tried using mayo cuz I was told that would work. All that did was make everything greasy. How do you get rid of lice? If you keep using the shampoo %26amp; conditioner %26amp; the spray %26amp; dry everything.?
ricanbronxbomb is right... vinegar does work.

But as long as you miss drowning or combing out one tiny little egg (nit) it will hatch and the whole cycle starts over again.

Hair conditioner will work to stun the lice, so that they can be combed out, but then you need to use a nit comb and your fingernails to remove every little egg. Have a friend help you.

Ask your pharmacist about tar soaps, as that's what I use when the infestation gets bad ( I'm a Family Daycare Provider and some parents just don't check like they should) Hairspray will also ';trap'; the little bustards, thereby killing them. Mousses or gels work well to keep them from travelling.

I found out that Lice seem to ';like'; children's shampoo's and conditioners, so try and stay away from any of the fruity smelling ones - and use one that's made for Psoriasis and Excema.

You can actually wash in any temperature (if you don't have access to hot) , but then everything must be hung outside to dry - and left for at least 2 days. Lice can't survive without a human host for more than 48 hours, so even outside airing of clothes or blankets for a few days will allow them to die off.

I hang things first, and then wash and re-hang.

I hope some of this helped.... Good luck. How do you get rid of lice? If you keep using the shampoo %26amp; conditioner %26amp; the spray %26amp; dry everything.?
Use the shampoo, wash and dry everything in a HOT dryer. Use the shampoo again 7 days later. In between the first and second application, use tea tree oil and let it sit in your hair for 10 minutes, then wash with tea tree shampoo. Not sure why, but they hate it. Good luck. :)
ok, you are going to buy a gallon of vinegar, drown hair in it, making sure the scalp is wet. Put plastic cap on for about 45minutes, rinse thoroughly and then wash with lice shampoo. The vinegar dissolves the natural adhesive of the eggs to the hair. the shampoo kilss the live ones. Good luck.
Go to the pharmacy and buy a bottle of Rid. Be sure to wash all bedding and follow the instructions on the Rid bottle. Or go to a doctor and get a prescription shampoo for lice.
Head lice...yuk! Not only are they un-sightly they are dangerous.

Lice are parasites...that means they BITE just like mosquitoes. And when thy bite [to suck your blood] they first 'spit' stuff into your skin to make the blood thinner so they can suck it out....ewwwwYuk!

So you can get infections, sores, scabs...not a good thing.

Prevention: Never ever share anything someone has used on their head...hat, hoodie, comb, brush, anything. Don't sleep on bed linens were infected people have slept. [ One good reason to shampoo everyday if you stay at a hotel..preferably first thing in the morning]

If you ever get head lice, you can't just stop at treating your head...you must treat everything your head has touched or they will come back. And running things through the dryer won't do it, lice can tolerate the heat. To get it hot enough to kill the lice would distroy your clothing.

The only thing that has ever work for us, our kids came home with head lice they got at school...a common place for the infestation to start. They only thing that really worked was Licex a non-chemical natural product. You can lean more about it hear.

There is an excellent video and a lot of information there.

You don't ever want to get head lice...but if you do this will help you get rid of them permenantly...or until the next out break at school or something.
I believe Ann did not get the whole link in.

I think this is the one she meant...and yes great info and a treatment that really works. We used it. Plus it is 100% guaranteed.

They say that between 10-12 million children get infected with lice every year!

Our two daughters came home with lice. We found really good information and were able to get rid of them right away. Several of our friends kids got them too. So we sent them to this site.
